About The Position
Skillforce has teamed up with one of the leaders in structural steel fabrication and erection to find a Steel Detailer to work out of their Randolph, NJ office. This is a full-time position with this company.
Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Steel Detailer
- Experience with Tekla Structures, AutoCAD, SDS/2 or similar 3D modeling/BIM software
- Strong understanding of steel fabrication methods, welding, and erection processes
- Proficiency in mathematics, including geometry and trigonometry
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed drawings and plans for steel structures using AutoCAD and other drafting tools
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accuracy and completeness of plans
- Check and verify design calculations, specifications, and other technical documents
- Ensure all work complies with industry standards, codes, and regulations
- Communicate with clients and suppliers to resolve technical issues and ensure timely completion of projects
- Participate in the review and approval process for projects, making recommendations for improvements as needed
