NBSIN Steel Detailer (Drafter)/ BIM Modeler
About The Position
Nucor Buildings Group (NBG) is seeking enthusiastic and detail-oriented candidates for the position of Steel Detailer/ BIM Modeler. This is a full-time role for entry-level or experienced Detailers responsible for drafting all components of a custom metal building, including steel framing, wall panel systems, roof panel systems, and all associated flashings and trims. The goal is to ensure all components fit together correctly as part of a complete design solution. Safety is paramount in all roles at Nucor, and candidates must demonstrate a commitment to upholding safety policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Ability to visualize in a 3D environment.
- High school Diploma or Equivalent.
- Must be seeking full-time employment.
- Accredited training, certification, or experience operating Architectural CAD software or 3D Modeling software.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States both now and in the future.
Nice To Haves
- 4+ years of structural or metal building detailing experience
- Working knowledge of metal building construction practices
Responsibilities
- Develop electronic models of custom buildings using advanced drafting software (2D/3D Modeling).
- Generate precise drawings for construction anchor bolts.
- Prepare detailed drawings required for permits and approvals.
- Create comprehensive shop drawings and reports for in-house fabrication and production teams.
- Produce detailed erection drawings and bills of materials for field construction.
