About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Steel Correlator. The rate for this position is $20.94 per hour. The core hours are Monday through Thursday from 7:00 am until 4:00 pm and Friday from 7:00 am until 11:00 am. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H-1B, H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc.
  • No relocation is being offered for this role. All candidates considered must live within 50 miles of the Greenwood, SC facility. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, persuasive skills, and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Work with individuals and groups to effectively participate within team environment.
  • Willing to work flexible hours and overtime in support of business needs.
  • Utilize various hand and power tools, step ladder and crane to assemble and verify quality in a Lean environment.
  • Must be able to use standard computer programs such as Microsoft Outlook/Teams and job specific programs such as ENOVIA.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of three months of industrial manufacturing and/or material handling experience
  • Minimum of three months of experience using hand and air tools
  • Minimum three (3) months of experience operating a powered industrial vehicle (e.g., forklift)
  • South Carolina Manufacturing Certification (SCMC) or equivalent.
  • Basic computer and technology skills.

Responsibilities

  • Plan process, and correlate all fabricated steel, copper, or purchased parts in the relevant departmental staging area.
  • Utilize computer programs to include AS400, DMM, and Enovia to identify parts.
  • Load all parts onto job carts by general order and item number to be put with structures as they are being build.
  • Keep a running list of all shortages on job carts and supply to job carts as shortages are received.
  • Correlate material to meet schedule ship dates.
  • Plan and coordinate between areas.
  • Review and update the status of materials with coordinator, lead, and manufacturing supervisors.
  • Utilize the computer, including the utilization of DMM, AS400, Enovia, and Turnback system to maintain control of materials.
  • Process surplus, rejected, and/or defective material according to procedures.
  • Operate a forklift and observe all safety requirements while utilizing a forklift.
  • Problem solve manufacturing information by identifying missing and incorrect items.
