About The Position

The Steam Plant Operator is responsible for operating, maintaining, repairing, and managing steam boilers and related equipment and infrastructure. The employee operates generators, auxiliary pumping equipment, and other boiler plant equipment, and monitors systems for normal operating conditions. The employee regulates equipment operations and conditions; responds to system or unit abnormalities; diagnoses their causes; and recommends or takes corrective action.

Requirements

• Completion of high school and one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Maintain required certifications.

Nice To Haves

• Completion of high school and at least two years of progressive experience performing mechanical maintenance and/or operating large, complex boilers, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
