About The Position

We are seeking a passionate and engaging STEAM After School Instructor to lead classes for K-5th grade students. This role involves facilitating hands-on learning experiences in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. Classes run in 60-minute blocks between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Multiple class date options are available.

Requirements

• Experience working with children in a K-5th grade setting.
• Knowledge and passion for STEAM subjects.
• Ability to create and deliver engaging lesson plans.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience as a STEAM instructor.
• Background in education or a related field.
• Experience with curriculum development.
• First Aid and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead and instruct K-5th grade students in STEAM subjects.
• Facilitate engaging and hands-on learning activities.
• Manage classroom behavior and ensure a positive learning environment.
• Prepare and organize materials for each class session.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and program coordinators.
• Adapt curriculum to meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all students during program hours.
