About The Position

The Stay & Play Teacher is a part-time afternoon position focused on caring for and educating preschool children and supporting their development as bilingual learners. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 1:45 PM to 6:00 PM. The teacher creates a safe, nurturing, and welcoming learning environment; helps prepare engaging, hands-on lessons; and shares Latin culture and the Spanish language with children. The role includes working collaboratively with other teachers, providing individualized attention, documenting children’s daily activities and developmental growth, and communicating with parents about daily problems or issues.

Requirements

• High school degree or equivalent required.
• Speak, read, and write Spanish fluently.
• Demonstrate enthusiasm for learning and early childhood development.
• Be dependable and able to work Monday through Friday, 1:45 PM to 6:00 PM.

Nice To Haves

• Previous teaching experience with young children.

• Basic English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, nurturing, and welcoming learning environment for preschoolers.
• Assist in preparing fun, engaging lesson plans geared toward hands-on learning.

• Reinforce classroom rules and expectations using positive discipline.
• Collaborate with other teachers to plan and implement lessons and activities.
• Provide individualized attention and engage children in conversation and hands-on learning to support their development.
• Document children’s daily activities and developmental growth.
• Keep parents informed of daily problems or issues.
• Maintain positive relationships and communication with students, parents, and team members.
