Stave Jointer Line Lead - 2nd Shift

About The Position

Responsible for stave jointing through barrel raising. They must have deep understanding of the stave jointing equipment and how it operates. The must also understand the stave quality specifications and ensure that quality staves are produced. They are responsible for the team working together to produce staves, raise barrels, and maintain the equipment. Must be a good communicator with their team and with other line leads.

Requirements

Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Must be at least 18 years old
Good physical health: capable of working on your feet, sitting, climbing stairs and ladders, bending, kneeling, and squatting.
Previous experience in manufacturing or warehouse environment
Ability to operate industrial equipment as required.
Ability to pick up and/or move objects up to 50 pounds without assistance
Demonstrate continuous growth in each position

Responsibilities

Develop and lead a comprehensive safety program including safety training initiatives, written safety programs and rules tailored to the work of individual departments.
Exceed expectations across all customer segments, including external and internal customers by anticipating needs and addressing requests and complaints to the satisfaction of all customers.
Implement PDS system design and ensure active PDS evaluation for each team member with regular feedback sessions, overall grid rating, and 360-degree feedback program. Identify the #1 skill to be developed by each team member.
Engage in continuous improvement efforts for products, services, or processes, seeking both incremental and breakthrough improvements.
Ensure US TTB compliance at manufacturing facilities.
Continuously communicate and reinforce company culture, monitoring team member assessment of culture via Sazerac Culture Survey and Best Places to Work surveys, with tangible results in improvement of culture scores.
Oversee stave jointing through barrel raising.
Ensure understanding and adherence to stave quality specifications.
Manage team collaboration in producing staves, raising barrels, and maintaining equipment.
