About The Position

Axle is seeking a Statistician to join our vibrant team at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) supporting the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), located in Bethesda, MD.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Biostatistics or Statistics from an accredited college/university strongly preferred
  • Minimum of five (5) years of related experience required

Responsibilities

  • Perform statistical analyses on data related to research, experimentation, diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and cure of human disease.
  • Consult with investigators on the design and analysis of clinical and observational studies using knowledge of statistical methods.
  • Identify appropriate methods for processing and analyzing data that varies from project to project.
  • Identify programming requirements and assist investigators and/or IT in the development of specialized programs for statistical analysis.
  • Perform database management support by merging data from single or multiple sources to produce analysis datasets for assigned projects.
  • Provide programming support including writing code, graphics and table production, and other related tasks.
  • Interact with clinical and laboratory investigators in processing data and conducting statistical analyses.
  • Develop statistical analysis plans.
  • Assure system and program documentation for assigned projects is complete and accurate.
  • Perform analysis of immunologic data, including assay and immunogenicity studies, and allergy data.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by a responsible authority.
  • Deliver Monthly status reports including hours worked, activities completed, problems encountered, and recommendations.
  • Deliver Quarterly reports including overtime, travel, and other expenses — due within 15 days of end of each quarter.
  • Deliver Status reports as requested by the Task Leader.
