About The Position

KCC seeks a highly motivated Statistician to join the KCC Model Development Team who are building advanced technology for weather, climate, and catastrophe modeling. In this position, you will work closely with other scientists and engineers to implement advanced data science and statistical methods including machine learning. Requirements

Demonstrated experience with ML techniques
Knowledge of extreme value models, goodness-of-fit test statistics, estimation methods, distribution fitting, and statistical inference
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Able to work independently and in a team environment

Nice To Haves

PhD in Statistics is preferred, candidates with an MS in Statistics and relevant job experience will also be considered

Responsibilities

Collect and analyze large data sets of atmospheric data
