About The Position

We’re looking for a Statistical Programmer Analyst for an onsite role in Columbia, SC. This position requires a strong background in statistical programming and interpretation, with the ability to lead the transition of SAS programs to Python on an on-premises data warehouse. The role involves producing reports, collaborating with a team of analysts, and contributing to a data-driven culture. The ideal candidate is self-driven, adaptable, proficient in cloud-based data platforms, Python, SAS, and data visualization tools, and can effectively communicate complex data to various audiences.

Requirements

6 years of experience in statistical programming or statistical interpretation
Extensive programming skills using cloud-based data platforms like Snowflake or Databricks
Experience with data visualization/dashboard tools such as Power BI or Tableau
Proficient in data management and analysis using Python and SAS
Self-driven and adaptable, with a desire to stay current with evolving tools
Team leadership skills
Ability to make complex data understandable for any audience
Decisive when faced with ambiguity
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics/Biostatistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or other job-related field

Nice To Haves

8 years of experience with statistical practices
5 years of statistical software and relational database experience
Master's degree preferred

Responsibilities

Lead the transition of SAS programs to Python on the on-premises data warehouse
Produce routine and ad hoc reports, primarily in Excel
Respond to questions and provide training when weaknesses are identified
Collaborate with a team of statistical analysts to translate analytics into actionable guidance
Engage in mentorship and contribute to a data-driven workplace culture
