About The Position

This role is responsible for maintaining heating and cooling systems, working with numerous system parts and mechanisms to diagnose and correct HVAC system problems. This includes replacing parts and adjusting system controls for better performance using special tools and diagnostic equipment. The technician will effectively and efficiently maintain the HVAC, Refrigeration, Ice Plant, Boilers, and all other critical equipment within the Chelsea Inflight Kitchen. The position requires effective communication with customers, coworkers, and management, and the ability to accept and complete work delegated by a work order coordinator, supervision, or via the CMMS. Accurate information input into the CMMS is essential. The technician is responsible for verifying that all work is performed correctly, safely, environmentally compliant, and on time, adhering to all local, state, and federal guidelines. Responsibilities also include managing overtime requests, performing Performa entries, completing projects and special assigned work, and utilizing time effectively. The role involves training and mentoring other technicians and following the employee handbook. Completion of all PM and CM logs and paperwork, and compliance with the company safety program and trainings are required. The ability to work productively and cohesively in a diverse and multicultural environment is also necessary. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

EPA Universal License
Second-Grade Stationary Engineer License required
High School diploma or GED equivalent
Valid Driver’s License
Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics
Demonstrated strong technical knowledge
Attention to details and excellent trouble shooting and problem solving skills.
Computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Ability to be badged to work in secure areas of an airport

Responsibilities
