The Stationary Engineer will operate, monitor, and maintain boilers, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, air compressors, and associated auxiliary equipment. This role involves monitoring plant and utility systems through building automation and plant control systems, responding to alarms and abnormal conditions, and performing routine plant rounds, inspections, and operational checks to ensure system reliability and safety. The position also supports medical gas system operation and monitoring, assists with emergency power system readiness, and responds promptly to utility failures and equipment malfunctions to maintain patient safety and hospital operations. Additionally, the Stationary Engineer will maintain accurate operational logs, readings, and shift reports, and support regulatory inspections by ensuring compliance-ready plant operations. Safety protocols including lockout/tagout, confined space, and PPE requirements must be followed.
