About The Position

Rich’s is seeking a Stationary Engineer to work at Sahlen Field, the home of the Buffalo Bisons. This role is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems in the ballpark. The position also requires performing maintenance and repair work on electrical and plumbing systems within the stadium and surrounding grounds.

Requirements

First class stationary engineer license – City of Buffalo is required.
High school graduate.
Ability to establish effective working relationships with others.
Good motor, hand, and eye coordination.
Good computer knowledge.
Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as requested.

Nice To Haves

Minimum 1 year of full-time stationary engineer experience preferred, where work involves the operation and maintenance of a building or plant including heating, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.

Responsibilities

Participates in the operation, maintenance, and repair of all heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems for the stadium, following all operating and maintenance procedures.
Assists in the maintenance, operation, and repair of all electrical equipment, including power distribution systems, light fixtures, appliances, and motor controls.
Performs maintenance and repair work on plumbing systems, including pipes, faucets, plugged drains, traps, concessions equipment, restrooms, and seats.
Responsible for inventory control of building maintenance materials, supplies, and equipment.
Assists in the preparation of a winterization plan for the structure according to guidelines from architects.
When requested, acts as a supervisor to contractors for expansion, repair, and maintenance of existing structures and grounds.
Assists in snow removal, if needed.
Performs related work as required.
Secures the building as required.
Performs additional duties as assigned.
