About The Position

U.S. Facilities, Inc. is seeking two Stationary Engineers to work in Philadelphia. This role involves performing preventive, corrective, and general maintenance and repairs on building systems with minimal supervision. The Stationary Engineer will be responsible for addressing emergency situations and system breakdowns, as well as routine and preventive maintenance. This is a skilled position within the Engineering Department requiring a thorough understanding of Steam Boiler, Chiller, and HVAC plant equipment design and operating principles to safely and efficiently produce and distribute steam and chilled water. The role also includes monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting the consumption of these utilities by distributed HVAC equipment to ensure proper conditioning of facility spaces. Accuracy is essential. The position may occasionally involve supervising or instructing other employees and performing additional duties as needed.

Requirements

• High school/GED graduate
• Current Class A Engineer’s license
• CFC Universal Certificate
• 3 years’ experience in installing, maintaining, and repairing of heating, air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
• 3 years’ experience with fire alarm system panel controls.
• 3 years’ experience working experience with building automation system (BAS) controls and programming.
• 2 years of boiler and chiller room operations.
• Knowledge of High Pressure Steam Operations and Heat Transfer.

Responsibilities

• Take immediate action to resolve emergency situations or system breakdowns.
• Conduct routine and preventive maintenance.
• Safely, reliably, and efficiently produce and distribute steam and chilled water.
• Monitor, tune, and troubleshoot the consumption of utilities by distributed HVAC equipment.
• Ensure various facility spaces are properly conditioned.
• Occasionally supervise work direction or instruct other employees.
