About The Position

The Stationary Engineer reports to the Engineering Supervisors and is responsible for repairing and maintaining all hospital equipment and systems. This role also involves completing in-house projects. The position requires the ability to perform repairs and maintenance on building automation systems, complete work orders, and preventative maintenance tasks. The engineer will also clean and maintain equipment and the work area in the central plant, monitor equipment, and maintain records of its operational status. Additionally, the role involves monitoring and facilitating the work of outside contractors and performing effectively in an on-call capacity as needed. Adherence to established safety regulations and guidelines is crucial for ensuring work is carried out effectively and safely. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • HSD/ GED
  • Must have 5 years directly related experience
  • 2 years experience in healthcare facility required.

Responsibilities

  • Able to perform repairs and maintenance on building automation systems.
  • Completion of work orders and preventative maintenance work orders.
  • Cleans and maintains equipment and work area in the central plant.
  • Monitors equipment and maintains records of the equipments' operational status.
  • Monitors and facilitates the work of outside contractors performing repairs and/or installations at MHS facilities.
  • Performs effectively in an on-call role as needed.
  • Adheres to established safety regulations and guidelines to ensure that work is carried out in an effective and safe manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.
