About The Position

JLL is seeking a Stationary Engineer/ Utility Operator to monitor utility equipment and systems for continuous operations for our client, utilizing automation controls, alarm systems and local controls. You will be responsible for providing continuous uninterrupted utilities for the manufacture of biopharmaceuticals, ensuring all critical systems function correctly to support our client's operational excellence and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate
  • 3+ years general maintenance or operations experience
  • Experience with mechanical blueprints and electrical schematics
  • Experience with building/system control systems and boilers with their associated steam delivery systems along with automation controls
  • Knowledge of air compressors, air dryers, water purification equipment (reverse osmosis units, water distilling units, clean steam generators), chemical systems, closed loop system water chemistry, refrigeration/HVAC equipment, and diesel generators/electrical distribution
  • Working knowledge of PLCs, HMI interfaces and other automated devices
  • Basic PC skills along with common applications associated with interoffice communication

Nice To Haves

  • Previous GMP environment experience
  • Working knowledge of CMMS systems
  • Refrigeration/HVAC certificate
  • Boiler operator certificate
  • Wastewater certificate

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all systems including boilers, clean steam generators, water for injection stills, reverse osmosis units, air compressors, chillers, cooling towers, waste water flows and associated equipment function correctly
  • Respond to a wide range of mechanical/electrical problems and perform initial troubleshooting, documenting problems through electronic work order systems, electronic mail and voice systems
  • Perform preventative maintenance and inspection on all utility systems and associated equipment
  • Successfully complete training and demonstrate ability to perform equipment monitoring, troubleshooting, and operational checks on utility equipment
  • Complete and adhere to site GMP requirements in relation to training and site practices while maintaining GMP training qualifications
  • Provide general labor services throughout all areas maintained by the Utility department including cleaning and organization of designated work areas
  • Interact effectively with team members including Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, and Client teams as well as other internal/external customers
  • Lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, work at heights, stand for long periods, and work with hazardous materials while wearing appropriate PPE.
