The Station Manager is responsible for ensuring day-to-day operations are conducted in a safe and financially sound manner. This role involves supervising assigned station personnel, maintaining customer service standards, operating within budget projections, and conducting local sales calls. The manager is also responsible for hiring, training, scheduling, disciplining, and conducting annual evaluations for station personnel, as well as enacting policies and procedures. Key duties include ensuring contract ground services meet terms, managing relationships and cargo management in accordance with airline contracts, and ensuring all required personnel training is accomplished and current. The role also requires conducting monthly safety meetings, ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and local laws, and overseeing the proper maintenance of plant and ground service equipment. Additionally, the manager must ensure compliance with USPS procedures, oversee shipping and receiving of COMAT, and submit all station-related reports and records within established timelines. For specific stations (Nome, Emmonak, and Aniak), additional responsibilities include monthly reporting for mainline contract turns, serving as the primary training and safety coordinator for mainline contract airlines, and enforcing cargo handling security. The manager is expected to conduct all activities as part of the Ryan Air management team and perform other assigned duties.
