Perform all types of work involved in the construction, maintenance, rebuild, removal, operation, testing and inspection of energized or de-energized generation, transmission and distribution facilities. Assist in responding to emergency call-outs on station trouble and coordinating prompt restoration of service to customers as required. This role involves working on energized equipment up to 750 volts with direct supervision or assistance of personnel in higher classification after six months in the role. The position requires the ability to select and understand proper prints and/or drawings, use various test equipment, and perform maintenance and repairs on station equipment. It also includes assisting with station work such as installing conduit, pipe, cable, and wire, digging trenches, and climbing station structures. The role involves using various tapes, insulating materials, paints, and understanding their proper application. Additionally, the position requires performing visual inspections, reading gauges, applying tests on emergency generators and pumps, replacing lamps and switches, and installing/maintaining signal and communication systems. Assisting with electrical tests, station switching, and maintaining records and reports are also key responsibilities. The role requires knowledge of steel and aerial lift rescue, operating company vehicles and specialized equipment, and using various knots. Employees are expected to become familiar with and adhere to the Company's safety rules and practices, including resuscitation and First Aid.
