Perform all types of work involved in the construction, maintenance, rebuild, removal, operation, testing and inspection of energized or de-energized generation, transmission and distribution facilities. Assist in responding to emergency call-outs on station trouble and coordinating prompt restoration of service to customers as required. This role involves working on energized equipment up to 260 volts, and after six months, assisting with work on conductors and equipment energized at voltages above 750 volts with direct supervision. The position requires selecting proper prints and/or drawings, using various test equipment, and assisting in the maintenance and repair of station transformers, circuit breakers, and other electrical equipment. Responsibilities also include installing conduit, pipe, cable, and wire, digging trenches, painting structures, and using insulating materials. The role involves making visual inspections, reading gauges, applying start-run-stop tests on generators and pumps, and reporting abnormal conditions. Additionally, it includes replacing lamps, switches, and outlets, installing and maintaining signal and communication systems, and assisting with electrical tests and station switching. The job requires knowledge of steel and aerial lift rescue, maintaining records, preparing reports, attending and assisting in training, and operating various company vehicles and specialized equipment. Employees are expected to perform similar or less skilled work as assigned, assist employees of equal or higher classification, and direct the work of assigned assistants. A thorough understanding of the Company's safety rules, resuscitation, and First Aid is essential, along with performing duties in accordance with safety rules and operating regulations.
