Perform all types of work involved in the construction, maintenance, rebuild, removal, operation, testing and inspection of energized or de-energized generation, transmission and distribution facilities. Assist in responding to emergency call-outs on station trouble and coordinating prompt restoration of service to customers as required. This role involves direct, immediate, and general supervision depending on the situation, with a 'Qualified Person' defined as a Station Electrician or Supervisor knowledgeable in the task and capable of performing emergency rescue. The position requires the ability to work on energized equipment up to 750 volts with supervision after six months, select and understand prints/drawings, use various test equipment, and perform maintenance and repair on station equipment. It also includes assisting with installations, climbing structures, applying insulating materials, performing visual inspections, making repairs to electrical components, assisting with station switching, and maintaining records. The role also involves operating company vehicles and specialized equipment, using hand and power tools, and adhering to safety rules and practices.
