About The Position

The Station Designer will collaborate with VPE Launch Industrial Engineers (IEs) to develop AutoCAD layouts for various operator stations, including Trim, Chassis, Final, Door Line, Engine Line, and potentially the HV Battery Line. This role involves coordinating all AutoCAD layouts for tooling, equipment, torque tools, ergo arms, line-side material displays, operator break areas, supervisor desks, and PFS layouts. The designer will also define the Scope of Work (SOW) for new tool installations, tool relocations, and station rearrangements. Additionally, the position requires supporting contractors and maintenance during white steel and tooling installations, managing change (scroll changes/refinements) with IEs, and providing training and coaching to other Station Designers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or High School Diploma / G.E.D and 5 years equivalent manufacturing experience
• Capable in performing 2D Layout in AutoCAD
• Workstation Design Experiences
• Expertise in developing SOW (Scope of Work)
• GA Shop Floor Tooling Installation Facilitation experiences to ensure the correct tools are installed in the right station and in the right way (Festooning / White Steel / Tool Rails / Tooling Sequence, etc)
• Understanding IE scroll / man assignments

Responsibilities

• Develop AutoCad Layout for every operator station (Trim, Chassis, Final, Door Line, Engine Line, and HV Battery Line if applicable)
