About The Position

The Eglinton Crosstown West Extension will bring the Eglinton Crosstown LRT another 9.2 kilometers farther west, creating a continuous rapid transit line from the east end of Toronto into Mississauga. The Stations, Rail, and Systems (SRS) package encompasses the design, construction, integration, and commissioning of key project components. The Station Construction Project Manager is accountable for the delivery of one or more transit stations and associated facilities within the Eglinton Crosstown West Extension (ECWE) project. Reporting to the Station Construction Manager, the role leads multidisciplinary teams and is responsible for station level performance across safety, schedule, cost, quality, and interface management within a progressive design build environment. During the Development Phase, the role supports design integration, constructability, planning, and risk management to ensure the works are coordinated and buildable. During the Construction Phase, the role assumes responsibility for execution, subcontractor management, progress control, and coordination to achieve substantial completion, testing and commissioning readiness, and handover.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to lead field teams, subcontractors, and coordinators across concurrent station activities.
  • Strong technical knowledge of constructability, temporary works, excavation, concrete structures, M&E integration, and architectural finishes.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills; capable of building effective working relationships with internal teams, subcontractors, and client representatives.
  • Strong analytical, planning, and organizational abilities with a focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Nice To Haves

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in ICI, heavy civil, and transit infrastructure construction, with demonstrated responsibility for delivery of complex scopes or facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage assigned station delivery teams, including superintendents, coordinators, field engineers, and subcontractors.
  • Establish execution strategies aligned with Project Co milestones, staging, and access constraints.
  • Drive a culture of safety, quality, and accountability across all station activities.
  • Take ownership of station level performance, including schedule, cost, quality, and delivery outcomes.
  • Participate in design integration and constructability reviews with design consultants, systems teams, and stakeholders.
  • Review design deliverables to confirm construction feasibility, staging, access, and coordination with adjacent works.
  • Identify and manage station level risks, scope gaps, and interface conflicts during design progression.
  • Contribute to construction planning, phasing strategies, logistics, and Work Plan development.
  • Provide input into schedule development, cost estimates, and resource planning.
  • Support early works planning and coordination with utilities, Advanced Works, and corridor interfaces.
  • Direct and oversee construction execution for assigned station(s), ensuring alignment with schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
  • Coordinate civil, structural, architectural, and MEP installation activities to maintain integrated delivery.
  • Monitor progress and performance, implementing corrective actions as required to maintain delivery targets.
  • Manage subcontractor performance and ensure compliance with scope, schedule, safety, and quality expectations.
  • Implement construction sequencing, logistics, and access strategies within constrained environments.
  • Ensure works are completed, inspected, and ready for systems installation, testing, and handover.
  • Manage completion of deficiencies, close-out activities, and turnover requirements.
  • Coordinate station level interfaces with adjacent works, including guideway, tunnel, and systems installation teams.
  • Ensure construction works are planned and executed to support systems integration and commissioning activities.
  • Interface with municipalities, utilities, inspectors, and other stakeholders to support construction delivery.
  • Assist in resolving interface conflicts and escalating program level risks to the Station Construction Manager.
  • Support stakeholder communication related to construction impacts, access, and phasing.
