About The Position
Maintains professional standards while providing quality food service to guests throughout preparation, presentation and service. This role involves greeting guests, explaining the menu, fulfilling food and beverage requests, restocking workstations, monitoring portion control, and maintaining cleanliness of equipment and facilities. The company, Bon Appétit Management Company, operates numerous cafés for corporations, universities, and museums, and is known for its socially and environmentally responsible sourcing and scratch cooking with fresh, local ingredients.
Requirements
- Previous food service experience is required.
Responsibilities
- Greets guests in a timely manner upon their entrance.
- Explains menu of the day and is knowledgeable of menu items.
- Fills guests' request for food and beverages in a timely, efficient and courteous manner.
- Restocks work station as necessary.
- Monitors and maintains portion control.
- Keeps equipment and facilities clean and in order.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
