About The Position

The Station Agent supports the day-to-day airport operations by performing a combination of ramp, customer service, and aircraft servicing duties. This role works under the direction of the Station Manager and is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and on-time aircraft operations while delivering a high level of customer service. The Station Agent operates in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment and must be able to work under tight time constraints while maintaining compliance with all safety and security regulations.

Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment.
  • Must hold a valid driver's license.
  • Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety procedures
  • Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically, including the use of electronic devices including IPads/Tablets, Computers, and Mobile Devices
  • Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients, both in-person and through electronic means
  • Pass a background check and drug screen
  • Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, RAIC, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable).
  • Airlines operate 24/7; must be flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds
  • Prolonged standing and walking in an indoor/outdoor environment as applicable
  • May need to reach with arms and grasp with hands

  • May need to crawl and crouch, at times, in confined tight spaces

  • Exposure to moderate and at times high noise levels

  • Tasks may involve repetitive motions of the arms, wrists, hands and/or fingers
  • Specific vision abilities required for this job include: Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less); distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more); peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point); depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships); ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus)

Responsibilities

  • Load, unload, and transport passenger baggage and cargo between aircraft, carts, and terminal areas
  • Operate ground service equipment such as belt loaders, tugs, and bag carts in a safe and efficient manner
  • Assist with aircraft servicing, including cabin cleaning, waste disposal, and restocking as needed
  • Prepare aircraft cabins for boarding and departure, including cleaning seats, galleys, and lavatories
  • Support ramp operations by coordinating ground equipment and ensuring readiness for arriving and departing flights
  • Provide customer service support, including assisting passengers at ticket counters, gates, and boarding areas
  • Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and airline partners to ensure on-time performance
  • Monitor flight schedules and assist with operational changes such as delays or gate changes
  • Follow all company, airport, and federal safety and security regulations at all times
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Complete required documentation and reports accurately and timely
  • Handle customer concerns and escalate issues to leadership as appropriate
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by management
