About The Position

The State Pre-K Assistant Teacher is responsible for instructing 4-year olds, based on the needs of each child and the requirements of the program. The role requires individuals who are curious, inventive, and open-hearted to prepare children for Kindergarten and beyond. As an Assistant Teacher, you will be responsible for the daily care of every child in your classroom, following all licensing guidelines, company standards, and grant program requirements. You will develop your ability to accurately observe, assess, and plan for children, as well as effectively communicate with families. The position involves completing extensive training that provides insight on child care, preschool, and development topics. You will implement curriculum while creating fun, interactive learning experiences for the children.

Requirements

• Associates in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or related or an active CDA in Preschool.
• Experience in a licensed childcare center or related field.
• Ability to meet state requirements for education and center requirements.
• Able to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.
