State & Local Tax Senior Manager, Lead Tax Services
About The Position
Crowe is seeking a State and Local Tax (SALT) Senior Manager to join its Lead Tax Services group. Crowe’s SALT team helps clients navigate and manage state and local income and franchise tax obligations. The Senior Manager coordinates, plans, and manages client engagements and delivery of state and local income tax work, serving as the primary client contact. The role also manages and develops staff, senior staff, and managers through coaching and training; builds an external network; supports sales and cross-collaboration efforts and SALT thought leadership; and assists with SALT transformation efforts. The role follows a hybrid work model for candidates located near a Crowe office. Candidates outside commuting distance may be considered for remote work, subject to business needs. The position requires upholding Crowe’s values of Care, Trust, Courage, and Stewardship and acting ethically and with integrity. The stated annual wage range is $139,200 to $293,500, with actual compensation dependent on factors including skills, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and business needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- CPA, JD/LLM, or CMI credential.
- At least 8 years of tax experience in public accounting with a state and local tax focus.
- Strong research, writing, and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to develop and maintain excellent client relationships.
- Demonstrated ability and desire to perform in a high-energy, dynamic environment.
