About The Position

All on the Field (AOTF) runs paid canvassing and ballot-access programs across multiple states. We are hiring State Field Directors to lead these programs on the ground. Each director owns a paid canvass program of 20-plus canvassers, with room to grow, and is responsible for meeting door-count and quality targets on a tight timeline. The role combines team management with operational discipline: recruiting and directing a field team while maintaining the integrity of the data it produces. These are in-state positions; relocation is required. We operate in several states, and placement depends on the program.

Requirements

2+ cycles of field experience
Experience managing a field team; experience managing managers preferred
Track record of meeting metric-driven goals on deadline
Proficient with VAN/Votebuilder and standard field tools
Composed and decisive under the pressure of a live program
Willing to relocate; valid driver's license and access to a vehicle

Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day operations of a paid canvass program of 20+ canvassers
Hire, train, and manage canvassers and team leads
Build and own the program's staffing plan: set canvasser schedules, determine coverage, and verify canvasser hours daily
Enforce data quality and field integrity standards, including spot-checks and fraud prevention
Set and hold daily and weekly production goals; track performance and course-correct
Work alongside our operations team to manage recruitment and supply logistics
Report program numbers to AOTF leadership on a daily cadence
