STATE APPLICATIONS ADMINISTRATOR
About The Position
This position will serve as the IT administrator for the Arkansas State Bank Department as well as the Arkansas Securities Division. The IT administrator will supervise a small IT staff in addition to performing daily operational IT support functions. These operational duties include but are not limited to securing sensitive data, cyber security assessments and implementations, infrastructure and network support, application development and management, software upgrades, training, and collaboration with IT shared services staff and the Office of State Technology. This position requires on-site employment with no remote or hybrid options available.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years supervisory experience is required
- 3-5 years working with data privacy and cybersecurity frameworks.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills are a must.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer System Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in application administration, information technology support, or a related role.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise applications such as Enterprise Resource Planning, Customer Relationship Management platforms, or database systems.
- Proficiency in managing cloud-based applications and platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Strong knowledge of system administration tools and technologies, such as monitoring software or automation tools.
- Familiarity with information technology security standards and data management practices.
Nice To Haves
- Demonstrated experience leading and/or working with cross-functional teams is preferred.
- ITIL and PMP certifications are a plus.
- Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Information Technology Infrastructure Library Foundation, or other platform-specific certifications, are highly desirable.

- Create and maintain detailed technical documentation and system logs.
- Provide training and support to end-users, addressing application-related inquiries.
- Coordinate with vendors and information technology teams for application support and integration projects.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, industry standards, and data protection regulations.
