Requirements

  • Proven leadership skills.
  • Strong knowledge of process engineering, safety systems, and operational readiness.
  • Ability to manage cross-functional teams and complex project schedules.
  • Experience in risk management and safety compliance.
  • Strong documentation and reporting capabilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with new technology scale-up and de-risking.
  • Background in automation and process development.
  • Familiarity with FAT, commissioning tools, and turnover processes.
  • Demonstrated strong collaboration across engineering, construction, and operations.
  • Experience establishing performance baselines and driving attainment.
  • Experience with Poromerics and the Finishing process.

Responsibilities

  • Own commissioning and start-up strategy, planning, and execution including schedules and procedures.
  • Ensure readiness of materials, tooling, spare parts, and consumables.
  • Lead risk management, contingency planning, and pre-startup safety reviews.
  • Interface with engineering and development teams to define requirements and de-risk new technologies.
  • Coordinate installation readiness, inspections, and turnover packages.
  • Lead cross-functional teams across engineering, operations, maintenance, and SMEs.
  • Forecast and secure required resources and define clear accountability.
  • Ensure SOPs, safety procedures, and permits are in place.
  • Track cost, schedule, safety, and quality performance.
  • Develop commissioning documentation including procedures, diagrams, and checklists.
