About The Position

Formlabs is seeking a Startup Founder to join their team. This role is for individuals who have previously founded a business or led significant ventures, ideally in technology startups. The position offers the opportunity to act as a mini-CEO, identifying, developing, and scaling new product lines and ventures within Formlabs. The role requires a strong bias for action, comfort with ambiguity, and a deep sense of ownership over outcomes. The impact of this role spans the entire product cycle, from R&D to global shipping, across hardware, software, materials science, and business functions.

Requirements

Proven Entrepreneurial Experience: Previously built a business or significant venture (technology startup experience is ideal), demonstrating a high tolerance for risk and a bias for action.
Comfort with Breadth: Direct experience creating multi-disciplinary technology products and understanding the full lifecycle from ideation to scale.
Ownership & Hustle: Possess the "get it done" mindset—the hustle to do whatever it takes, whether it’s pitching a customer, setting up a supply chain, or debugging a prototype.
Adaptive Leadership: Excel at both hiring and leading teams and are energized by a constantly changing, high-standard environment.

Nice To Haves

Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science Degree or related
Entrepreneurial experience like founding your own business.
MBA or experience in a consulting role
Familiarity with manufacturing, supply chain, or product standards and compliance in industries like healthcare, pharma, or life sciences.
Experience with 3D printing technologies and materials.

Responsibilities

Define Supply Chain Strategy & Vision: Act as the ultimate Supply Chain Owner, creating products and services that define the future of digital manufacturing by identifying cutting edge technologies and high-potential operational gaps.
Own Business Outcomes: Drive P&L results by identifying new opportunities and scaling existing infrastructure.
Build & Lead: Create and lead multi-disciplinary teams of talented engineers and operators. Hire and mentor the next generation of Formlabs leaders.
Take Decisive Action: Make crucial, high-stakes decisions that directly impact our core technology and business trajectory.
Embrace the Ambiguity: Work at the intersection of complex disciplines (engineering, sales, manufacturing, marketing) and take full ownership to get the job done.
