About The Position
This role involves managing the starting of golfers, providing customer assistance, and ensuring smooth operations on the golf course. The Starter/Ranger will use an iPad for check-ins and tracking, enforce rules, and educate golfers on course policies and etiquette. Excellent customer service and a strong understanding of golf are key to success in this fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Excellent listening and comprehension skills required
- Knowledge of mathematics sufficient to perform a variety of calculations
- Knowledge of the techniques, principles, and regulations of golf programs
- Ability to deal with difficult people or situations in a positive and diplomatic manner
- Must be safety conscious and knowledgeable about the game of golf
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays as needed
- Attention to detail and ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
- Ability to lift 25lbs and bend while performing work duties
- Ability to operate motorized carts throughout the golf course
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions from management
Nice To Haves
- Prior golf related experience a plus!
Responsibilities
- Use an iPad to check in customers at the Starter Station
- Provide information and assistance to customers
- Track turn times and finish times throughout the day using an iPad
- Enforce daily cart rules
- Educate and assist golfers on pace of play, course rules, and golf etiquette
- Provide excellent customer service
