Seasonal Part-Time Starter/Ranger
About The Position
The Starter/Ranger is responsible for professional guest interaction and will thrive in guest service, helpfulness, and kindness on the golf course. This role involves performing all duties in a professional manner, operating carts safely, monitoring play on the golf course, and enforcing course rules. Flexibility to work a varied schedule is required due to business levels and industry demand. The position also requires following all safety procedures, giving clear directions, answering guest questions with excellent customer service, maintaining a neat appearance, and displaying a helpful attitude at all times. Assistance in other job classifications may be required by a superior.
Requirements
- Customer service experience preferred
- Must have good organization skills
- Ability to communicate easily with members and guests
- Must be able to perform physical work including lifting up to 50 lbs
- Must be physically able to bend, stoop, and lift repeatedly throughout the day
- Standing or walking for long periods of time may be required
- Position requires full attendance of scheduled hours
- Enthusiastic, outgoing attitude and personality, patient and non-combative
- Organized, able to work in a busy environment where the priorities are changing
- Maintain a neat and clean appearance
- Required to spend most of the time out
Responsibilities
- Perform all duties in a professional manner

- Monitor play on golf course
- Enforce course rules
- Follow all safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment
- Give clear and concise directions to various locations in the resort
- Answer guest questions using excellent customer service skills
- Must be well groomed, with nametag on at all times while working on the property
- Must be well-mannered, display a helpful attitude at all times, greet guests when encountered, show appreciation to the guest for being at the resort, show willingness to help guests and employees at all times
- Provide assistance in other job classifications as determined necessary by immediate superior
