About The Position
This role is for a Start Up Planner (CSU) within the Renewables & Clean Power business, focusing on delivering large natural gas projects. The project involves a 2500MW power complex for a data center, utilizing technologies like Solar T350 Turbines, BESS, and combustion turbines. Bechtel is defining the scope and design basis for this project, which will be structured with project managers for each asset class delivery. The project is located southeast of Pecos, TX. Draft project assignment conditions offer flexibility for employees.
Requirements
- Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience
- Experience in performing quantity takeoffs, statistical analysis, and computer operations.
- Skilled in understanding technical processes, engineering drawings, quantity determinations, and mathematical and financial reports.
- Proficiency in using PC operating systems and several basic software applications.
- Proficiency in using multiple discipline-specific software applications currently used by Bechtel (Power BI, Primavera 6).
- Skilled in oral and written communication.
- Knowledge of engineering and construction management is customarily acquired by taking selected discipline training courses or through practical experience.
Responsibilities
- Assists in the preparation of schedule data for proposals or contracts
- Establishes and maintains the schedule for a specific discipline area or specialty
- Performs schedule development duties to include establishing the work breakdown structure (WBS), determining the work activity duration, establishing the proper workflow logic ties, and developing the required job expenditure
- Performs schedule monitoring, including identifying critical activities and updating functions for specific applications, disciplines, or specialties
- Assists with maintenance of critical path schedule reports and schedule performance metrics
- Performs schedule analysis and studies of problem areas to determine criticality of schedule activities
- Assists with schedule recovery plans
