About The Position

LinkUs is hiring field technicians in Butte, Montana, to install Starlink satellite internet, DISH Network television, and connected home technology in residential homes across the region. The company provides training, tools, and a company vehicle. Prior field experience is welcome but not required; new technicians train alongside experienced Starlink and DISH installers before working independently. This is a year-round, full-time position with opportunities to earn sales incentives and advance into lead technician, field trainer, and field supervisor roles. LinkUs is an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) company, so employees build equity as the company grows.

The position pays $19–$22 per hour, with higher starting pay available for experienced technicians. Top technicians can earn additional income through performance incentives and customer upgrades. The company provides a vehicle, fuel card, uniforms, tools, monthly phone reimbursement, and a benefits package.

Requirements

• Able to use power tools, including drills, impacts, and hand tools, or willing to learn.
• Comfortable working on extension ladders up to 40 feet, in attics, and in crawlspaces.
• Able to lift up to 60 pounds and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Must pass a background check and drug screening.
• Must have a personal smartphone for field use.
• Reliable and punctual, and available to start at 7:00 a.m. most days or earlier at a manager’s request.
• Available full-time, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Field installation experience in satellite, cable, telecommunications, HVAC, electrical, or a similar trade; experience is preferred but not required.
• Experienced technicians may qualify for higher starting pay.

Responsibilities

• Install Starlink satellite internet systems, including dish mounting, cabling, and router configuration.
• Install and service DISH Network satellite television equipment.
• Set up and configure customer equipment, including routers and smart home devices.
• Run cabling, drill wall penetrations, and install grommets to professional standards.
• Recommend additional products and services to customers and earn incentives for upgrades.
• Complete required photo documentation and equipment reconciliation for each job.
• Provide a professional and respectful experience in customers’ homes.
• Mount dishes and hardware on roof eaves, exterior walls, and other structures using extension ladders.
• Drive to customer locations, sometimes 30–120 or more minutes from the technician’s base.
