About The Position

Starlink, SpaceX's revolutionary satellite constellation, is delivering low-latency broadband internet globally. The Account Management team acts as the primary customer contact from contract signature through successful activation, ensuring contract fulfillment and identifying new business opportunities with enterprise clients. This role is crucial in ensuring that commitments made prior to contract signature are executable. The team aims to evolve its systems and processes to enable large enterprises to manage Starlink independently, minimizing human intervention, mirroring the product's self-service design. The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter passionate about customer satisfaction, supporting teams, and managing complex cross-functional projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree; OR high school diploma/equivalency certificate and 5+ years of professional business development, operations, engineering, or account management experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in account management, customer success, or business operations.
  • 1+ years of experience working with government customers.
  • Must be available to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed.
  • Must be willing to travel to other SpaceX offices and customer locations as needed.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful, permanent resident, Refugee, or Asylee, or eligible to obtain necessary U.S. Department of State authorizations.

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of experience working with customers to support a technical product/service.
  • 3+ years working with State & Local / Local & Regional government customers.
  • Significant knowledge or experience in one or more of the following industries: public sector, telecommunications, manufacturing, satellite communications and/or supply chain.
  • Experience managing multiple complex projects and delivering under tight deadlines and resource constraints.
  • Experience building long-term and successful customer relationships demonstrating empathy, active listening, and resiliency skills.
  • Significant technical knowledge of Starlink or telecommunications in at least one key area: satellites, ground network, user terminals, or related technology.
  • Ability to synthesize multiple unique requirements and suggest smart solutions, products, or features.
  • Track record of demonstrating sound business judgment, evaluating alternatives, and making recommendations that were adopted and ultimately successful.
  • Ability to negotiate successfully, especially after a contract is signed.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to craft and present professional presentations at all levels.
  • Ability to manage execution of significant or complex contracts including initial intake, renegotiation of terms, and schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned government customers, managing the relationship from contract signature onwards, including onboarding, ongoing account management, and long-term retention and growth.
  • Deliver impeccable customer service, including efficient issue acknowledgement and resolution.
  • Build relationships to identify customer requirements and manage expectations.
  • Collect, communicate, and champion customer feedback internally to influence programmatic and technical development.
  • Retain and grow the value of assigned accounts.
  • Identify and communicate readiness levels, requirements, schedules, and risks to achieve forecasted revenue.
  • Serve as the internal expert in the State & Local / Local & Regional government vertical for specific regions, shaping strategic direction and leading commercial decision-making.
  • Identify, design, and lead the implementation of new processes and system improvements to accelerate customer growth or enable internal team scalability.
