About The Position

The Starbucks Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of the in-store Starbucks operation, delivering an exceptional customer experience while driving sales, managing costs, and ensuring brand standards are met. This role oversees daily operations, develops partners (employees), and ensures a welcoming, clean, and efficient coffeehouse environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
2–3 years of food service, retail, or Starbucks experience preferred
Previous leadership or management experience strongly preferred
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment

Responsibilities

Oversee daily Starbucks operations including beverage production, food service, and customer flow
Ensure all Starbucks recipes, routines, and presentation standards are followed
Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting café environment
Monitor equipment functionality and coordinate maintenance as needed
Create a customer-first culture by delivering fast, friendly, and personalized service
Resolve customer concerns promptly while maintaining a positive experience
Foster customer connections to build loyalty and repeat business
Lead by example, modeling Starbucks service standards at all times
Drive sales through product availability, promotions, and suggestive selling
Monitor and manage labor, waste, and overall department profitability
Analyze sales trends and adjust ordering and staffing to meet demand
Ensure proper cash handling and inventory controls
Hire, train, schedule, and supervise Starbucks partners
Coach and develop team members on beverage standards, customer service, and performance expectations
Conduct regular performance conversations and provide feedback
Build a positive, engaging, and inclusive team culture
Manage ordering, receiving, and inventory levels to ensure product availability
Minimize waste through proper rotation and handling procedures
Ensure all products meet freshness and quality standards
Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct periodic audits
Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
Maintain Starbucks and company operational standards and policies
Promote a safe working environment for both customers and employees
Ensure proper handling and storage of all food and beverage items
