About The Position

Working at Target means helping all families discover the joy of everyday life. The Food & Beverage team ensures a consistent experience for guests by ensuring product is fresh, in stock, available and accurately priced and signed on the sales floor. They are experts of operations, process and efficiency, leading food and food services including replenishment, inventory accuracy, food safety, presentation, pricing and promotional signing processes for all Food and Beverage areas of the store. The role of a Starbucks Barista at Target provides skills and experiences in providing a consistent Starbucks experience for guests by curating handcrafted Starbucks, food quality and freshness management, and adherence to state and federal food safety and OSHA guidelines.

• Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends and holidays); come to work when scheduled, work scheduled shifts and take required meal and rest breaks
• Ability to work in environments that will include refrigeration and freezer temperatures and conditions; where common allergens may also be handled or present
• Capable of working in and exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing certain job duties, including but not limited to Drive-Ups, carryout, etc.
• Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shifts (shift length may vary)

Responsibilities

• Create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience by delivering on the following commitments: Greet: 10ft: be friendly – smile, make eye contact, or wave; 4ft: greet the guest, smile and initiate a warm, helpful interaction
• Help guests find what they need and/or resolve issues to ensure a smooth, easy shopping experience

• Deliver an exceptional guest experience by providing a fresh and abundant shopping experience during all hours of operations, prioritizing the guest’s needs over task
• Uphold and maintain the execution of the Food & Beverage Standards
• Execute food and beverage processes including food deliveries, replenishment, instocks routines, data accuracy, culling, rotation, cleaning, signing, and organizing, and storing reserve product
• Always be aware of current and future promotions within Starbucks
• Follow all Target and Starbucks routines to deliver a consistent experience for guests while completing tasks efficiently and maintaining food safety
• Support the Starbucks Drive Up process to ensure digital guest orders are fulfilled accurately and on time
• Maintain an inviting dining area for guests throughout shift
• Engage with guests to meet and exceed their expectations based on Starbucks standards
• Produce hand crafted beverages and food to specifications on recipe cards
• Follow all food safety requirements, including monitoring and recording temperature sensitive food items, as outlined in best practice
• Complete and record all cleaning tasks in the Starbucks space as outlined in best practices
• Locate and identify damaged, recalled or expired items and process according to best practices
• Ensure accurate in-stocks by placing store-initiated orders according to best practices
• Follow proper perishable inventory procedures to ensure an accurate recording of inventory
• Execute sampling best practices
• Complete all required training requirements and certifications related to quality control of Starbucks products
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance
• Work in a safe manner at all times; comply with all safety policies, best practices, and training; report hazards and correct where possible
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick up (OPU) and Drive-up (DU) and maintain a compliance culture while executing those duties, such as compliance with federal, state, and local adult beverage laws
• All other duties based on business needs
