About The Position

This role involves preparing, presenting, and serving food as needed. The Starbucks Barista will perform prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables, and will weigh and measure designated ingredients. Responsibilities include carrying food items in accordance with safety standards, storing food following proper procedures, and cleaning work areas, equipment, and utensils. The barista will also distribute supplies and equipment, utilize approved recipes and production standards for quality and portion control, and serve customers in a friendly and efficient manner. Additionally, the role requires resolving customer concerns, ensuring compliance with company service standards, inventory, and cash control procedures, and adhering to all sanitation and safety requirements. This position is with Levy at the Huntington Convention Center.

Requirements

  • Must be able to perform prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables.
  • Must be able to weigh and measure designated ingredients.
  • Must be able to carry pans, kettles and trays of food to and from work stations, stove and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards.
  • Must be able to store food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety and rotation procedures.
  • Must be able to clean work areas, equipment and utensils.
  • Must be able to distribute supplies, utensils and portable equipment.
  • Must be able to utilize approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
  • Must be able to serve customers in a friendly, efficient manner following outlined steps of service.
  • Must be able to resolve customer concerns and relay relevant information to supervisor.
  • Must ensure compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures.
  • Must assure compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements.
