About The Position
This position involves selling concessions, including soft drinks and various food items, to customers at events. The barista will serve customers efficiently and in a friendly manner, following outlined steps of service. They will interact with customers, resolve complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner, and relay relevant information to their supervisor. The role requires performing sales transactions in a reasonable and timely fashion, entering sales into the cash register, making change, accepting payment, and issuing receipts. The barista is responsible for assigned change funds and cash receipts, ensuring compliance with overage/shortage standards. Additional duties include replenishing condiments and general supplies, maintaining the cleanliness of the concession area, and ensuring compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements.
Requirements
- Must be able to perform sales transactions in a reasonable and timely fashion.
- Must be able to enter sales into the cash register to ensure purchases are accurately recorded.
- Must be able to make change, accept acceptable forms of payment and issue receipts to customers.
- Must follow standard procedures for cash handling.
- Must be responsible for all assigned change funds and cash receipts, ensuring that the cash drawer is in compliance with overage/shortage standards.
- Must be able to perform other duties such as replenishing condiments and general supplies and maintaining cleanliness concession area.
- Must ensure compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements.
