The mission is to move communities to health while maintaining the highest standard of safety. This position operates under CAMTS guidelines, flying AS350B3 VFR/NVG aircraft, requires an instrument rating, and involves 24-hour operations with day/night rotation. A successful applicant requiring aircraft transition will have a 1-year minimum service requirement per CBA. The role also involves participation in community outreach programs, adherence to PHI Air Medical policies, and some lifting to assist in patient and equipment loading/unloading. Pilots will perform line pilot duties in accordance with the General Operations Manual (GOM), support the Safety Management System, Destination Zero, and other company safety campaigns, and work with internal and external customers to provide safe, efficient, courteous, and reliable service.

Requirements

  • Commercial and Instrument Helicopter Ratings
  • First Class Medical
  • CAMTS Requirement: 2,000 Total Hours
  • CAMTS Requirement: 1,500 Hours Helicopter
  • CAMTS Requirement: 1,000 Hours PIC Helicopters
  • CAMTS Requirement: 500 Hours Turbine Helicopters
  • CAMTS Requirement: 100 Hours in Unaided Night Operations or 50 Hours Unaided and 100 Hours Night Vision Goggles (NVG)
  • Meet 235 pounds body weight
  • Strong Communication, Internal and External Customer Service Skills
  • Interview and acceptance by customer/PHI management
  • Ability to pass pre-placement physical exam including functional capacity exam (strength and flexibility assessment, lift 100 pounds to assist in the loading and unloading of patients and equipment), drug screening and background screen.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
