About The Position

Star-Base Science Teacher At Helena Public Schools, our vision is to foster dynamic educational experiences that prepare all students for life. As an Elementary Star-Base Teacher, you will work as part of a team that serves nearly 8,000 students at 18 campuses across Helena. This positions serves a 187 day contract scheduled for 7 hours a day. Star-Base is located at Fort Harrison and serves students in 5th grade.

Requirements

  • Montana teaching certificate with the appropriate endorsement (Elementary K-8 or 5-12 Science)
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may need to travel to other buildings and will need to meet multiple demands from several people and interact with the public and other staff.

  • At least a year of successful teaching experience in music at the elementary school level.

Responsibilities

  • Teach district approved curriculum.
  • Develop lesson plans and instructional material.
  • Provide individualized and small group instruction to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each pupil.
