About The Position

The Cambridge Rindge and Latin School seeks a Standardized Test Coordinator, Grades 9-12, to join its caring and innovative community. The Standardized Test Coordinator will work 40 hours a week for a 10-month period. Under the direction of the Assistant Principal of Curriculum and Instruction, the key responsibilities of the Standardized Test Coordinator shall include:

Requirements

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with learning community members and school-wide personnel.
  • Demonstrated experience working with computers using email, word processing, spreadsheets, and prior experience with both DESE and College Board.
  • Familiarity with the ASPEN database system, TestNav, Pearson Access Next, and DESE and College Board test reporting portals.
  • Must be organized and capable of meeting rolling deadlines.
  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Secondary school experience is preferred.
  • Requires multi-tasking abilities including handling student, family, and staff needs on a daily basis across the school community.

Responsibilities

  • Build and submit the PNP for all regular and make up sessions of ELA, Math, and STE MCAS including the accommodations for students with IEPs, 504’s, and EL students as needed.
  • Administrate MCAS Portal on all MCAS testing days coordinating with Deans and ITCS support personnel to address testing issues.
  • Coordinate with Deans, the Teacher-in-Charge of Bilingual Learners, and the Office of Student Services to create testing rooms in MCAS Portal, print testing tickets, and unlock and lock testing sessions at the beginning and end of each testing day.
  • Submit testing reports to DESE via the administrative portal.
  • Receive all printed MCAS materials and manuals.
  • Store and archive all testing materials for at least 3 years.
  • Team with Deans and CRLS Instructional Technology Specialists to design and implement safety, MCAS Student Kiosk, and MCAS Portal training for all MCAS proctors.
  • Stay abreast of all DESE notifications, training sessions, and deadlines regarding MCAS and update the Assistant Principal of Curriculum and Instruction and Deans as needed.
  • Coordinate with the Dean of the Science Department and the Deputy Superintendent to submit Science MCAS Cohort Appeals.
  • Submit Modified Competency Determination Reports as needed.
  • Post MCAS testing status alerts to Aspen for all active students.
  • Maintain an accurate student enrollment list.
  • Assist in creating a yearly schedule for testing and all training needs to support students' success.
  • Coordinate with AP teachers for AP course audits, AP classroom registrations, and AP exam registrations.
  • Coordinate with students and families for AP exam registration and payment.
  • Coordinate with the Assistant Principal to secure testing spaces and exam proctors on AP exam days.
  • Provide all materials necessary for testing days, including assigning proctors to testing rooms.
  • Order AP exams as needed.
  • Coordinate with the Finance Manager on all financial and staffing matters involved with administrating the AP Exams, including student exam payments and refunds, supply purchases, payments owed to the College Board, and staff service agreements and pay.
  • Coordinate with guidance counselors for all students who have IEP and 504 accommodations.
  • Register and administrate the fall in school PSAT and spring in school SAT for juniors.
  • Liaise with AP of Curriculum and instruction to secure proctors and testing rooms
  • Collaborate with the SSD coordinator to ensure testing accommodations are provided appropriately.
  • Work with ICTS to make sure bluebook application installation is in place for testing days.
  • Run student pre-registration sessions for both test administrations in cooperation with Deans and Guidance Counselors.
  • Account for and maintain the security of test materials
  • Other duties as assigned
