This posting is focused on recruiting applicants who can portray patient cases within the age range of 26 to 35 years old. The Standardized Patient/Trainee (SP) is a community member trained to portray a patient case in a consistent and standardized manner during simulated clinical encounters. Under training and close supervision in a clinical educational setting, the SP consistently and accurately portrays specific emotions, behaviors, medical histories, and physical symptoms while interacting with health care students. These simulations support student learning and assessment of clinical, communication, and patient care skills. This is an on-call, non-benefits-eligible position with varied work hours based on program needs.
