The Standardized Participant is responsible for portraying scripted role of patients, family members, healthcare providers, and/or other roles as needed in simulation scenarios. This position is governed by state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy.

Requirements

• None.
• Ability to consistently follow detailed scenario instruction at the direction of simulation faculty
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with and work effectively with faculty, staff, and students in a positive, helpful, and cooperative working relationship
• Reliably attend simulation activities as scheduled
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of information

Nice To Haves

• Prior simulation standardized participant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform clerical functions related to center management
• Maintain professional and safe environment
• Portray scripted role of patient, family member, healthcare provider, or other roles as needed in simulation scenarios
• Assist faculty in monitoring students’ safety
• Provides subjective feedback to learners during debrief
• Assist with resetting simulation scenarios and restocking rooms as needed
• Assist in proper cleaning procedures as needed
• Performing Other Duties as Assigned
