About The Position

SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE: Responsible for providing efficient, day-to-day customer service and operational support in a campus retail environment. This position involves cashiering, merchandising, inventory maintenance, and assisting with store organization and promotions. Duties also include supporting shipping and handling activities. The ideal candidate will be reliable, customer-focused, and detailed oriented and must be available to work Monday-Thursday from 8:00 am-4:30 pm and Friday from 8:00 am-4:00 pm for a maximum of 29 hours per week.

  • Deliver courteous, efficient customer service.
  • Accurately handle money and operate a cash register.
  • Follow directions and store policies.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization.
  • Work independently or as part of a team.
  • Demonstrate reliability and strong attendance.
  • Stay detail-oriented and organized in a fast-paced environment.
  • Some prior retail or customer service experience.
  • Proven ability to interact effectively with the public.
  • Stand for extended periods of time.
  • Reach overhead and bend or crouch as needed.
  • Lift and move items up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems; handle cash, change, and receipts accurately.
  • Greet customers and provide assistance with inquiries and purchases.
  • Receive, price, and stock merchandise according to store procedures.
  • Maintain store cleanliness and organize product displays and storage.
  • Monitor inventory; report low or out-of-stock items to the manager.
  • Assist with annual physical inventory counts.
  • Produce signage for events, ads, and promotions.
  • Pack and ship online or phone orders.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager.
