GENERAL PURPOSE: Under general supervision, maintains and sets-up event facilities for clients; oversees event activities and coordinates work of temporary staff. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Required to work in all facilities operated by the Civic Events Department: Convention Center, Coliseum, Paseo Pavilions, Paseo Grounds, Paseo Farmer's Market and River Stage, as well as other locations, as required. Work any event hosted at these venues. Assist in the set-up of, staging, tables and chairs. Mopping, sweep, and overall general clean-up of all facilities before, during, and after events. Lift, climb both fixed and portable ladders, and clean stage equipment. Assist event organizers and attendees in a responsive, professional and customer-friendly manner. Minimal supervision of volunteers, part-time, temporary and seasonal staff. Assist in the maintenance of facilities, per the directions of the Civic Events Manager, Assistant Manager and/or any supervisor. Perform other duties as required. Hours: As needed, mostly nights and weekends. Regular and timely attendance is required. Other duties as assigned.
