About The Position

We are seeking a Stand-up Forklift Operator for our 3rd shift (Sunday - Thursday 11pm - 7am) in Concord, NC. This is a full-time position offering excellent pay and benefits, including 5 days of PTO, 6 paid holidays, up to 50% of health insurance premiums paid by Impact, and access to a retirement plan, financial fitness, and employee savings programs. The role involves supplying workstations and machines with basic supplies and product for packaging, and maintaining floor stock neat and clean in staging areas.

Requirements

  • Minimum three months manufacturing experience.
  • Basic reading and writing skills in English.
  • Math skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Work Keys Scores of Math 3, Locating Information 4, Reading for Information 3.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to stand the majority of the work day.
  • Able to perform repetitive job functions; hand mobility, bending, kneeling, pushing, and pulling.
  • Manual dexterity required for assembly and operating tools and machines.
  • Ability to safely operate moving equipment properly without risk to self, others and equipment.
  • Ability and applied knowledge of the material handler job description.
  • Fork-lift Certification.
  • Able to work overtime when necessary.

Nice To Haves

  • High school degree or GED preferred.
  • Prefer fork-lift experience.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and cycle count floor stock using scales.
  • Handle, stage and maintain the flow of all materials to and from machines, presses, assembly and packaging areas, rework areas and storage racks.
  • Assemble or pack as required.
  • Dispose of trash and corrugation for departments.
  • Follow direction of the area Process Tech, Set up or Lead Person for guidance in prioritizing material flow to and from work centers.
  • Utilize Kanban system to determine priorities concerning materials replenishment.
  • Clean, load and unload hoppers, granulators as required.
  • Change colors as needed when going from one part color to another.
  • Maintain accurate raw material inventory, print and fill out scrap reports.
  • Move finished goods as required.
  • Assist with changeovers.
  • May run labels, print production travelers and order supplies as needed.
  • May prioritize and order parts from presses as needed.
  • May kit, set up work cells, responsible for first piece.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and records. Capable of researching materials needed.
  • Maintain a high level of housekeeping to 5 S Standards.
  • Total responsibility to eliminate non-conformance within quality of products.
  • Perform all other duties as directed by the Supervisor.
