About The Position

Anomatic is seeking a motivated, hands-on Stamping Quality Engineer to support quality initiatives in the Stamping Department. The role is the primary quality resource for stamping and incoming operations and works with Production, Engineering, Tooling, New Product Development, and Quality teams to ensure products meet customer requirements and internal quality standards. The engineer supports daily manufacturing operations through problem-solving, inspections, process monitoring, root cause investigations, and continuous improvement. The position involves significant time on the manufacturing floor supporting operators and supervisors, as well as maintaining quality documentation, supporting audits, and communicating quality findings to leadership.

Requirements

At least 2 years of experience in manufacturing, quality, engineering, inspection, or production support roles.
Ability to read drawings, specifications, and inspection instructions.
Experience using measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and pin gauges.
Basic knowledge of root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects and ensure adherence to quality standards.
Ability to analyze data and recognize quality trends.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to lead a cross-functional team efficiently.

Nice To Haves

Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Quality, or a related field; equivalent manufacturing experience may be considered in lieu of education.
Experience in metal stamping, manufacturing, packaging, automotive, consumer products, or related industries.
Familiarity with ISO 9001, SPC, Control Plans, PFMEA, and Inspection Plans.
Previous experience as a Quality Inspector, Quality Technician, Process Technician, or Production Lead.

Responsibilities

Provide daily quality support to stamping and incoming QC operations.
Perform and review dimensional and visual inspections of stamped components, including first-piece, in-process, and final inspections as required.
Monitor production quality performance and communicate issues to production leadership.
Help operators understand quality requirements and inspection methods.
Review quality concerns and support containment; help ensure nonconforming material is identified, segregated, and dispositioned.
Participate in process validations, trials, and production qualifications.
Participate in root cause investigations using tools such as 5 Why Analysis, Fishbone Diagrams, and Corrective Action Reports.
Assist with corrective and preventive action activities.
Analyze scrap, defects, rework, and customer complaint trends.
Work with Operations to identify opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, and waste reduction; support continuous improvement projects in the Stamping Department.
Maintain inspection records and quality documentation.
Assist with developing and updating work instructions, inspection procedures, and quality standards.
Support internal audits and customer audit preparation; ensure compliance with company quality system requirements and customer specifications.
Complete quality reports and communicate findings to leadership.
Spend significant time on the manufacturing floor supporting operators and supervisors.
Perform layered process audits and product audits as assigned.
Review gaging results and verify measurement techniques.
Support operator training on inspection methods and quality expectations.
Participate in daily production meetings and quality reviews.
Lead cross-functional teams efficiently and help lead teams to achieve company goals.
