About The Position

Jefferson Southern Corporation (JSC) is a Tier One automotive supplier that produces and sells steel-stamped and welded parts for the interior shell of automobiles. These parts are vital to the strength, safety, and performance of the car. This role is responsible for maintaining the stamping equipment to ensure production runs smoothly and efficiently.

Requirements

PLC experience
Associates Degree (AS) from an accredited Technical School; or one to two years of related technical experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, sharp objects and constant loud noise.
Regularly required to use hands to touch and handle objects; hear; see, including close vision; stand for long hours; stoop; kneel; sit; climb; balance; and occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

Follow all JSC rules and procedures.
Follow all safety policies.
Perform 5S activities.
Respond to production downtime calls immediately and implement effective countermeasures.
Monitor lines to identify potential causes of downtime.
Perform Root Cause Analysis on top downtime items and implement countermeasures.
Monitor lines to ensure countermeasures are effective.
Identify needed spare parts and critical spare parts.
Perform scheduled Preventive Maintenance (PM) tasks.
Repair any defects.
Identify areas for improvement.
Perform Root Cause Analysis for any quality-related incidents and provide countermeasures.
Support engineering with new equipment setup trials.
Communicate existing equipment failures with Team Leader and Assistant Manager.
Support QA during Quality incident investigation and countermeasure.
Perform cost reduction activities to reduce overall operating costs.
