Stainless Welder IV
About The Position
This position requires complete knowledge of set-up and standards for all assembly processes in O.E.M. exhaust manufacturing. The role involves performing complex exhaust system assembly and welding, ensuring high-level craftsmanship and fabrication expertise. The welder will be responsible for production line assembly and welding of mufflers and exhaust systems, meeting and maintaining level IV 10-hour shift production targets. Key responsibilities include reading and interpreting weld prints, performing visual product quality audits, identifying and resolving welding and assembly issues, and handling multiple duties simultaneously to meet production deadlines. Additionally, the role involves training and supporting other welders, maintaining shop cleanliness, and performing other department duties as instructed by the supervisor.
Requirements
- 7+ years' experience in exhaust fabrication, MIG & TIG welding, and assembly
- Full knowledge and skill in all welding processes and standards for O.E.M. exhaust assemblies
- Advanced proficiency in reading and interpreting weld prints and symbols
- Full understanding of MIG & TIG welding machine set-up, troubleshooting, and process adjustments
- Strong problem-solving skills in a production environment
- Able to read a computer screen and have basic computer skills
- Able to follow verbal and written instructions correctly
- Punctual and dependable at adhering to scheduled work hours
- Communicate, work, and coordinate effectively with team members regarding work status, output, necessary work related information, and cross-functional project updates in English
- Strong work ethic, accountability, and attention to quality
- Willing to support team development and share knowledge
- Good safety and housekeeping habits required
- Stand or Walk up to 10 Hours
- Bend Neck and Waist between 5-10 hours
- Twist Neck and Waist between 3-6 hours

Responsibilities
- Perform complex exhaust system assembly and welding
- Responsible for quality craftsmanship and fabrication completed to a high level of expertise
- Perform production line assembly and welding of mufflers and exhaust systems
- Meet and maintain level IV 10-hour shift production targets
- Read, interpret, and follow weld prints including weld symbols
- Perform visual product audits, and verify parts against PTF
- Demonstrate full job knowledge regarding location and identification of parts and numbering system
- Identify, analyze, and resolve welding and assembly issues to maintain production flow and quality standards
- Simultaneously handle multiple duties, prioritize work, and meet production deadlines
- Train and support other welders within the exhaust department on processes and standards
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the shop, equipment and tools
- Performing other department duties as instructed by the department supervisor
